Three distribution agreements in Greece, Great Britain and the United States were announced by Axia Spirit, a new brand of alcoholic beverage with mastic that was recently released.
Axia mixes mastic with alcohol, in a premium distillate with 0.5% sugar and very few calories (about 30% compared to vodka), and with 40% alcohol content. It is promoted as the first brand of extra dry mastic, while it can be consumed plain or added to various cocktails.
The company behind Axia is London-based Avandel Limited, which was founded by businessman and investor Adrian Clarke in January 2018. The company holds a minority stake in Plomari Distillery, of which the president, Nikos Kalogiannis, is a member. of the Board of Avandel Limited.
This is a project in which the Plomari Distillery Isidoros Arvanitis participates with a share of 15.3%. In particular, the agreements announced for the distribution of Axia Spirit are with Beverage World in Greece, with XXI Wine & Spirits in the USA and with Cask Liquid Marketing in the United Kingdom.
According to the Axia website, Nikos Kalogiannis and Adrian Clarke joined forces “through their common desire to create the highest quality product for modern consumer habits”, mediated by the Greek businessman Demetri Argyropoulos, while at the helm Avonyel CEO Tony Chvala has been a senior executive at Amazon, Groupon and various start-ups since June.
Regarding the Axia Spirit distribution agreements, Tony Chvala said: “Each of these distributors has a lot of connections and is reliable in the respective market, while fully in line with our brand philosophy and mentality of breaking the rules. We will work closely with these leading distributors to bring Axia Spirit Bold Spice to the UK, US and Greece. “
