6 September 2021

The preference to healthy foods has given rise to organic honey and foods without chemical additives.

According to estimates by the measurement company Fact MR, the global market for organic honey will be worth $ 150 million by 2022.

The United States, the largest organic farming market, worth about $ 50 billion in 2018, is followed by Germany ($ 13.2 billion) and France ($ 11 billion).

Similarly, the Asia-Pacific region is showing great growth potential, with countries such as Thailand, China and India being the next major market players.

It is worth noting that the Greek honey production is at 16,000 tons of production per year with only 200 tons of export activity.

Now, the world landscape is changing and characterized by the presence of various small, medium and large producers of organic honey that claim a significant share of the market.
