THALLON raw oil, a food product and medicine

Thallon – Premium Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Agourelaio has all the taste characteristics of the Chondrolia Halkidiki variety. Rich fruity taste with aromatic notes of grass, greens, pepper, tomato and balanced the bitter with the spicy.

Thallon is a high quality fresh olive oil, rich in health and nutrients – an excellent example of Hippocratic medicine. Due to its high content of polyphenols, it has the designation of health claim (HEALTH CLAIM), according to the European Regulation 432/2012 of EFSA (European Food Safety Authority). As stated in the relevant certificate, THALLON has an extremely high content of two of the main phenols, Oleocanthal and Eleasin, which have significant biological activity and have been attributed anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, cardioprotective and neuroprotective properties.

It is packaged in glass bottles, painted, so that light does not penetrate them, and in high quality metal packages. Thallon production begins with the cultivation of olive groves based on certified biological standards. Harvest begins in mid-September, when the olives are still unripe (green). They are collected by hand in perforated crates and then within 24 hours, transported for oiling in an ecological cold pressed olive mill.

It is recommended to be eaten raw in the morning or as a side dish with salads, boiled or grilled vegetables and grilled meat.
