Traditional pasta “Flomari” from the family Poriazi “Lemnos”

11 June 2021

Flomari is the traditional Lemnos pasta, which is not made from semolina but from Lemnos flour.

It is used in different versions traditionally either with Roasted Rooster, with snails or as a garnish, with sauce or in cold salads. Flomari Lemnos of the Poriazi family is produced from fresh pasteurized cow milk of Lemnos, free-range eggs and wheat flour with its semolina from durum grains. It has a low salt content and is without preservatives.

The handicraft of the “Poriazi Family” is a family business that has been active since 1919 with headquarters in Lemnos throughout Greece in the field of agri-food products, offering products from their field to our shelf!

The fourth generation now continues the tradition of years and sows and reaps and ferments local varieties of cereals in the fertile soils of the island. From these it produces:

  • the famous Lemnos Flour from durum wheat ideal for pies, doughs, cookies etc.
  • The well-known Nuts that have conquered the shelves and large S / M chains.
  • The unique Flomaria of Lemnos, the most delicious and exquisite pasta which has won a Great Taste award.
