Methyse 2004

Red naturally sweet wine, Protected Designation of Origin Kefalonia from sun-dried Mavrodaphne grapes; Product of organic viticulture; Vintage 2004.

Its name is inspired by a maenad, Methyse, depicted and identified by name along with the rest Dionysus entourage, on an ancient wine vessel (crater).

Vinification: We lay and dry in the sun the grapes of the varieties Mavrodaphne and Korinthiaki for about 10 to 15 days; after that, destemmed, pressing, alcoholic fermentation and a minimum of 6 months aging in oak barrels; filtering and bottling.

Matured deep purple color; velvet touch with flavors of plum, raspberry, blueberry, light smoke and spice; fragrant notes of precious chocolate . Good grip of tanins and very strong sense of pleasure on the finish.

Excellent aperitif, but mostly an ideal dessert; it goes perfectly with strong chocolate sweets, ice-creams and fruits of the season. Served at 8-10 o C.
