Rozaki - Tsikrikonis Winery

Medium lemon in color and peppery spicy in nose with white and pink flowers, while white flesh and soft unripe red fruits are present.

Greasy and very tasty in the mouth with floral complication in the most citrus fruit, adorned by the white cherry and the faint unripe red berries, that the excellent acidity highlights, while the peppery and spicy sense is there, together with a meaty hint, that together with the intense mineral nature and the slightly botanical hint they all give the aftertaste in a very good duration.

In 2017, Rozaki has been conferred the Bronze Award at the Olymp Awards Food and Beverage Competition, Athens, Harvest 2016.

Vineyard

The vineyard is of 60+ years, perfectly acclimatized to the microclimate and the geography of the area, located at an altitude of 250 meters around the winery.

The dryness of the vineyard in combination with its age do not allow the vine to exceed 500 to 600 kg per acre, with the planting density to be 300 plants in linear form. The shapes of the stumps are a work of art, human and natural at the same time, every year they adorn the wine label imprinted in a sketch!

Winemaking

Rozaki, due to the nature of its grape is one of the most difficult ones for winemaking both from the squeezing of the grape and the extraction of the juice as well as regarding the alcoholic fermentation and the process of clarification and stabilization of the wine. The winemaking is made in a gentle way without the addition of yeasts and other oenological materials as well as with delicate manipulations so as not to alter the quality characteristics of the variety. The wine remains in stainless steel tanks for 6 to 8 months with selected wine lees..
