KONTOGIORGIS ESTATE is a new company in the fields of production and trade of Extra Virgin Olive Oil in Greece, and has been established in 2020 with the only goal to provide premium quality extra virgin olive oil with respect to the Greek tradition, but also under scientific knowledge and the assistance of new technologies.
Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a product of the local special olive variety “Koutsourelia - Patrini”, which is rare, of exquisite flavor, vivid green color, intense fruity aroma and rich in nutrients for the human organism. “Koutsourelia - Patrini”, thrives in Achaia, in north Peloponnese in Greece, an area with special microclimate, a very good equilibrium of humidity and quality of soil. Our Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a product of the local olive variety "Koutsourelia - Patrini", which is rare, unusual and produces olive oil of vivid green color, intense fruity aroma, exceptional taste and is rich in nutrients for the human organism. .
Our olive oil derives from semi-mountainous and naturally hydrated olive groves, located in the village of Vassiliko, a beautiful village in the Municipality of Erymanthos, in western Achaia, in Peloponnese where this variety thrives naturally, for centuries while is cultivated and collected with undivided care. The estates belong to our family and date from the 19th century, by our great-great-grandfather George Grigoropoulos who bore the nickname: "Kontogiorgis". Grandpa "Kontogiorgis" conveyed to us his love for the land and its trees which he cared for as if they were his own children, he taught us the art of caring for them but also the wisdom to "listen" to them, principles which we adopt still today.
Immediately after its production, our olive oil is filtered and safely stored in a warehouse in Koropi, Attica in Athens. We bottle our olive oil in a certified as per Standards - ISO22000 packaging establishments in Koropi Attica, and thus it's ready for trade in Greece and around the globe.
Through our Extra Virgin Olive Oil "Kleio", we envision the noble coexistence of all the links of the agro-food chain: the resources of nature, the means of production and processes, and the final recipients, all of us. Our goal is the production and distribution of 100% natural, 100% Greek and monovarietal Extra Virgin Olive Oil with minimal processing and no artificial intervention, so that it is always part of a healthy and nutritious diet following the standards of the Mediterranean Diet.
