Coca-Cola Hellenic and Coca-Cola Hellas with strategic partner kariera.gr created Empowered, a holistic social platform that today offers access to tomorrow’s skills for thousands of HoReCa professionals, young and women, to evolve and claim a better career future or entrepreneurial opportunities.
This new initiative was presented online, with the participation of the Deputy Minister of Development and Investment Mr. Nikos Papathanasis, Ms. Maria Anargyrou – Nikolic, General Manager of Coca-Cola Hellenic and Ms. Lillian Nektariou, General Manager for Greece, Cyprus & The Coca-Cola Company. During the event, Mr. Theofilos Vassiliadis, Founder and CEO of kariera.gr, presented the strategic planning of the program, while Mr. Costas Pisiotis, co-owner of Nolan and Provellegios restaurants, and a member of the Advisory Board of Empowered, participated in special discussion, highlighting the importance of developing the skills of employees in the catering industry.
The aim of the new platform is to empower 10,000 HoReCa professionals, young people and women by the end of 2021, helping them to enhance existing skills (upskilling) and acquire new ones (reskilling) based on the emerging trends and needs of the new era. With the valuable contribution of partners and experts from distinguished companies, organizations and organizations, Empowered offers free specially designed digital trainings (online journeys) and live digital sessions, focusing on the areas of coffee and hospitality, digital skills, entrepreneurship and strengthening dominant soft skills.
At the same time, the program offers further opportunities for development and empowerment to over 500 participants, such as personalized mentoring, scholarships, training events, internship programs, etc. to start their careers immediately and make their own decisive move for their future.
An innovation of the program is the establishment of an Advisory Board by recognized professionals who excel in the field of HoReCa, in the field of youth professional development and in the empowerment of women employment and entrepreneurship.
