Bio Oak Honey

A dark, dense honey, collected at an altitude of more than 800 meters, away from populated areas, in an area that remains unaltered through time. For the collection of this excellent honey, producers need an hour of mountain ascent to reach their hives.

Oak honey is collected from oak forests in our prefecture, in a Natura area, protected from human activities and part of a national park. It has special taste and high amount of antioxidants.

In an examination concerning the amount of antioxidants among 48 samples of honeys from all over Greece, oak honey has emerged as the one with the strongest antioxidant content. It is also rich in minerals and has high potassium levels.

Our oak honey was awarded in 2017 at the Great Taste Awards and then in 2020 with two stars.
