Karakostas Winery is located in Avdera of Xanthi, in a place with a long wine history. The winery produces wines from local varieties such as from the red Mavroudi but also from French varieties such as the red Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah etc. Varieties with "personality" - worthy descendants of Dionysian wine… ..
Local varieties are combined with varieties from other areas leading to great results.
Elsa and Tasos, the Karakostas family, cultivate with great love and passion their vineyard, which is located at an altitude of 80 meters producing enviable grapes.
Every year they produce the red semi-sweet wine PGI Avdera with the variety Mavroudi and of course the wine "Evinor" (also PGI Avdera), a wonderful red dry wine, with nice taste and "Bacchic consciousness". Evinor is produced from the local red variety Mavroudi, and the French ones, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. "Evinor" is the flagship of the winery that you have to taste and enjoy every moment.
