The METEORO winery was founded in 2004 in Thessaly by the family of Vassilios & Artemis Tsinas with the planting of the first vineyards covering 50 acres. The winery was established in 2008 and is located on the slopes of Skoumbos Hill, near ancient Phaloria, beneath the Kerketeios Mountain (Kozakas), and close to the banks of the Peneus River. Additionally, vineyards have been planted at the foothills of Meteora in the Municipality of Kalabaka, as well as in Theopetra. Today, the vineyards span 140 acres, growing both Greek and international varieties such as: Muscat of Hamburg, Assyrtiko, Malagousia, Sauvignon Blanc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot, Xinomavro, and more. It is a state-of-the-art winery with an integrated management system, aiming to produce wines and spirits of high quality, which has already been recognized through both international and local awards. The winery is open to visitors, offering an opportunity to see the production process of spirits and wines, as well as to enjoy all of the products made on-site.
