Social cooperative enterprise of Epirus producers "ICHOR" based in Ioannina. Have been dedicated to the production and promotion of aromatic and medicinal plants and other local products of Epirus.

We are a newly established cooperative company from Epirus producers mainly of aromatic and medicinal herbs. Our crops of aromatic and medicinal herbs are dry cultivating and are located at high altitudes in soils ¨Virgin¨ with unique peculiarities due to the microclimate that prevails in the area resulting, our products, being excellent and rich in antioxidant.

The eight members of the cooperative enterprise are concerned for organic farming and the quality of the products they produce. With the help of experts and agronomists we try to keep our products in, consistent, excellent quality.

Our philosophy is to promote and highlight the local products of Epirus in the domestic and international markets. Its members are small producers of aromatic and medicinal herbs and other agricultural products.

In the context of the development of the cooperative enterprise, we aim at the integration of other local small producers with a variety of products that follow our biological and quality standards.

Distinctive Title (ICHOR)

Starting from ancient Greek mythology, the word ICHOR was a substance that is said to distinguish ordinary mortals from the gods!

It is a life-giving substance unalterable, immortal and incorruptible, which is not subject to the laws of synthesis and decomposition.

In ancient Greek literature it is mentioned by Plato to Timaeus and to many patients of Hippocrates that this ethereal fluid retains the properties of the food and drink of the immortals.

Corresponding is the story told by Apollonius the Rhodian, who wrote in "Argonautika" that from Ichoras of Prometheus, which dripped through the wound opened by the eagles of Zeus, grew a miraculous plant.
