First in the trends of cocktails is the premium tequila

It is chosen by 62% of bartenders

The premium tequila category was highlighted as the top trend for 2022 by Bacardi’s exhibition of cocktails that will prevail in the new year. In fact, according to the research, more than 2/3 of the bartenders (62%) chose tequila to create premium alcoholic beverages. As mentioned, the new trend wants drinks “with more meaning” and the demand for them is constantly increasing. It is worth noting that tequila-based cocktails came in 4th place among 30 drinks, in terms of popularity with alcoholic black rum, single malt whiskey, gin and mezcal to follow.

According to the research, the drinks that consumers are most likely to drink in the next 12 months are the following:

vodka(47,66%)
Gin (35,24%)
tequila (31,97%)
brandy (31,89%)
whiskey(31,61%).
Finally, 41% of consumers worldwide expect to drink more ready-to-drink in 2022
