Greek exports to € 1 billion
Greek exports to France continued their upward trend in the first half, as they amounted to € 1 billion, increased by 30% from the corresponding level last year. Overall, Greek-French bilateral trade increased by 22% in the first half of the year, compared to the same period last year. According to primary data of the Hellenic Statistical Authority, which were processed by the ISD Office of the Greek Embassy in Paris, the trade volume of the two countries amounted to € 2.23 billion.
The trade balance, which remains in deficit for our country, recorded a further improvement of € 54 million, with the deficit reaching € 236 million.
Regarding the exports of the F&B sector, from the category of food-drinks, fresh fish, cheeses and vegetables stand out.

• Fresh fish: € 26 million (+ 16.46%), share 2.6%
• Cheeses: € 24 million (+ 47.05%), share 2.4%
• Preserved vegetables: € 8.9 million (+ 28.82%), share 0.89%
• Yogurt: € 7.3 million (+ 23.92%), share 0.74%
• Olive oil: € 6.7 million (+ 34.55%), share 0.67%
