14 July 2021

Olympic Breweries and Fix Hellas turn the historic railway stations in Kalamata, Tripoli, Patras and Messolonghi into the summer cinemas for the screening of award-winning films of modern Greek cinema, as well as the old engine room of OSE.

The group created by the merger of the companies Mythos Brewery and Olympic Brewery supports the seventh art, through the action “Cinema the Station”. As it seeks to combine the Greek DNA and the international footprint of the dynamics of the Carlsberg Group, Olympic Brewery places great emphasis on supporting Greek cinema.

The starting point of the route for the revival of the railway stations, was made on Wednesday, June 16 from the old OSE engine room in Piraeus, a historical and important place, which now houses the new Railway Museum. In this particular location, the screening of the film Digger by George Grigorakis, in avant premiere, in the presence of the director, started. This is a modern Greek western, with a background of wild Greek nature, which was awarded at the 70th Berlin Festival.

The action “Cinema the Station” is under the auspices of the Commission “Greece 2021”, with the choice of cities based on their leading role, in the historical event of the revolution of 1821. Also important helpers in the implementation of the action are OSE and GAIAOSE.
Regarding the strategy of Olympic Brewery and its development plans for Greek beer products, Mythos and FIX, exports are made to 5 Continents, in more than 35 countries, with emphasis where there is a strong Greek element.
