An introduction to AFFA gastronomic awards and the contestants

Athens Fine Food Awards (i.e. AFFA) are introduced for the first time and aim to record and promote Greek products through a reliable process.

AFFA is a significant attempt, for products of Greek producers to be gathered, recorded, showcased and appraised. 

Under the auspices of EXPOTROF, in association with well-established experts, AFFA aspire to become a benchmark for the featured Greek products. Taken into consideration values as tradition, uniqueness, innovation and taste authenticity the overall goal is to feature traditional Greek cuisine and modern gastronomy.

AFFA are held by the experienced EXPOTROF team along with the specialized team of Delio Food Hub, an expert in promotion, growth and distribution of wholesale limited products in food and tourist businesses. In order to assure the ranking objectiveness, producers have been listed to 27 different categories and will be evaluated according to their core characteristics by blind tasting, to ensure that taste is the dominant evaluation factor.

Blind tasting, professionalism and hosts’ experience, guarantee a safe evaluation environment for all contestants which will result in a differentiated and credible consumer’s guide based on strict criteria and ensures product quality.

The international credibility of the awards is based on professionalism and the experience of the evaluating committee, and Athens Fine Food Awards would not be different. The most notable industry professionals are members of the evaluation committee and reliably drive the efforts for appropriate recording of the greek food. The committee consists of certified judges, food journalists, sommeliers, chefs, industry experts and others. Members’ identification will be announced after the conclusion of the relevant procedures, in order to secure the unbias character of the event.
