Letter from the owner of "MITILINIA GI", Mr. D. Agiasotelis
As a child I grew up on my family's olive groves and since 2006 I have also become a professional farmer. From a young age I watched the jars of sun-dried tomatoes and sauce that my mother made every summer with so much diligence and placed on the shelves of our kitchen. So little by little the idea was born, what my own mother offered us, to be able - with the same diligence - to offer it to you.
This vision became a reality when only in 2014 I planted the first tomato seeds.
Today in the food laboratory that we have made and organized, we combined tradition with know-how. We have our facilities where all health standards are met based on HACCP, but without industrial production. The whole process is done in a traditional way, without the use of additional chemicals, dyes or preservatives. The preservation of the products is done cleanly and only with the thorough sterilization - pasteurization, while the sugar and salt that some of our products contain are their only natural preservatives.
In these facilities, we now produce excellent quality marinated sun-dried tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil, wonderful tomato sauces, while we process and prepare fragrant herbs and extra virgin olive oil of organic and conventional cultivation.
