Our Olive Oil Story

Our grandfather, Stylianos Volakakis, taught us to love the magical olive tree. Through his stories, he introduced us to a world where tradition blends with the art of olive cultivation. His philosophy was simple: to respect nature and give her the best you can.

His name, "Volakas," means "the stone that rolls" — a name that captures the idea of movement and freedom, elements that are closely tied to the life and development of our olive oil.

Grandfather Stelios and Grandma Agapi, with their love and care, passed down all the secrets of how to nurture and appreciate good olive oil. From a young age, we participated with them in the harvest and production process, learning the value of dedication and patience.

For the past three years, we have been trained in new sustainable methods and are working on our family’s estates, which have belonged to the family for five decades. Participation in seminars, workshops, and training programs has equipped us with the knowledge and skills to promote the quality and sustainability of our production.

We have managed, by combining tradition and our love for olive oil, to develop a premium extra virgin olive oil, which you hold in your hands. Each bottle is the result of a commitment to quality, flavor, and respect for nature.
