The company Galvas was founded in 1960 in Sidirokastro, Serres, where it is still headquartered today.
Since 2000, it has been one of the fastest growing companies in northern Greece.
In 2010, having a leading role in the Greek market, the company’s production was transferred to new modern, privately owned facilities of 3,000 sq m. and in combination with research and innovative ideas, always based on traditional recipes, it offers consumers the maximum result.

A large part of the production is ice cream, which in recent years has won awards in Greek and international competitions, resulting in the creation of a new, state-of-the-art laboratory for the production of ice cream and other sweet preparations at the end of 2017.
Since the beginning of 2021, a modern distribution center has been created with love and passion in Athens, with the goal of developing, providing the best and most direct service to southern and island Greece.

In April 2023, a new 1500 sq.m. wing was constructed as the next step in the automation of the production process with the robotic technology method.
In the year 2025, 65 years later, the Galvas company has, in addition to the 2 factories, 1 distribution center in Athens and a retail store in Sidirokastro.
