The Nicoluzo Estate was founded in 2008 by Anastasio Arist. Nicoluzo. The cultivation, production and sales headquarters are located in the village of Ano Coraciana, 17 kilometers from Corfu town. He is a fourth-generation winemaker and from quite an early age he wanted to deal with the subject of winemaking. In his privately owned vineyards of a total area of ​​three hectares, he cultivates only indigenous varieties of Corfu, such as the white Cacotrigi and the reds Mantzavi and Scopelitico. The largest percentage of his wines is aged in new American and French Oak barrels. Since 2000, with the help of old amateur winegrowers, he has been collecting and

recording Corfiot varieties lost to time, with the aim of rescuing and highlighting them through the creation of a new experimental organic vineyard, as well as research micro-winemaking with research centers and universities abroad. The purpose of this project is to highlight the beneficial properties of Corfiot grape varieties and their contribution to the healthy Mediterranean diet through their high levels of antioxidant components and polyphenols,

The Winery

The Winery is housed in a 190m2 space and is equipped with

machinery with a total production capacity of 15,000 liters. It is a relatively

small production unit that aims to highlight the special characteristics of each variety. The non-industrialized production unit gives us the opportunity to come into contact with each bottle we produce and this makes them unique, since each bottle is bottled and dressed by hand. Through a combination of

traditional and modern ways of managing the raw material, we produce special wines with a mainly gastronomic profile. The Nicoluzo Estate has focused mainly on foreign markets and its labels aim to become ambassadors of the Wine tradition of the Island of Corfu and the Ionian Islands Vineyard, constantly winning deserved positions on the wine lists of leading restaurants on the world gastronomic map.
