Third and last stop of TourTaste is Heraklion where the audience of EXPOTROF Online will be welcomed by the executive chef and owner of the restaurant Araklia, Ioannis Gavalas. The authentic cuisine as he describes it will be imprinted on the plate Salatouri Terina (with onion pickles and parsley jelly) that he will prepare live on the e-stage of the event.
A few words about Ioannis Gavalas
Ioannis Gavalas has been the chef and owner of the Araklia restaurant in Iraklia since 2019, where he serves Authentic Cycladic Cuisine. He has edited numerous restaurant catalogs in Mykonos, Serifos, Paros, Naxos and Athens. She loves Greek cuisine and presents it at every opportunity.
In 2013 he presents with the Mykonos Gastronomy Club the Mykonian breakfast under the auspices of the Hotel Chamber of Greece. In the same year he participates in the event for Cycladic gastronomy at the Benaki Museum while a little later, in 2016 he participated in the Tinos Food Paths.
Also in 2016, he presented with 4 other Greek chefs the Aegean Cuisine at the JAMES BEARD foundation in New York.
Lecturer of cooking seminars but also a lover of photography, Mr. Ioannis Gavalas does not stop training but also to be trained!
