NoThe Meaning Behind ERIFOS: The name ERIFOS is inspired by the ancient Greek poet Erifos, who wrote extensively about the dietary habits of the Greeks and highlighted the profound impact of olive oil on health and longevity. This connection reflects our commitment to preserving the legacy of olive oil as a cornerstone of well-being and cultural heritage.
Our Story: Founded in 2024 by sisters Katerina and Nelly Dempegioti, alongside their close friend Michalis Katsipis, ERIFOS embodies the shared passion for olive oil production and sustainability. The company’s roots are deeply tied to the picturesque village of Kremmydia, where the family’s extensive olive groves thrive. Our journey spans four generations of dedication to olive oil production, inspired by our great-grandfather, who operated a traditional stone mill ("liotrivi"), preserving the art of olive oil production for generations.
