It is known since ancient times that honey plays a very important role in the Greek diet. The word "honey" is as old as our culture, as it has been around since the time of the ancient Minoans.

Honey is not just another plant and veterinary product, because practically all of nature advocates its creation. The bee approaches a plant to collect its nectar, motivated by its colour and aroma. At the same time, however, it carries the sperm from the male to the female plant and thus the whole plant world is fertilised and multiplies. At the end of its daily journey, the bee will carry the nectar it has collected back to the hive, which will eventually yield the honey.
