In 2019, Christos Kaglis and Co (founded in 2000, with VAT number 099727110, located in Tripoli, Arcadia, Greece) has extended business in the alcoholic field as the authorized importer and distributor of Moutai in Greece under the Strategic Cooperation Memorandum with Kweichow Moutai Co., Ltd. Moutai is a style of baijiu, a distilled Chinese liquor (spirit), made in the town of Maotai in China's Guizhou province. Produced by the Kweichow Moutai Company, the beverage is distilled from fermented sorghum and now comes in several different varieties. Moutai was named a national liquor in 1951, two years after the founding of People's Republic of China. Moutai also claimed two gold medals separately at the Paris International Exposition in 1985 and 1986. Moutai has won 14 international awards and 20 domestic awards since the Chinese Revolution.
An important part of Moutai's superior quality due to its highly technical production process, which is not only the inheritress and development of the traditional craft, but also the typical combination of traditional technique and advanced scientific techniques.
As the founder and typical representative of the sauce-flavor white spirit in China, the production process of Moutai greatly differentiates from others. While other liquor needs several months, at most one year on the production process, Moutai needs at least five years --- including nine times steaming, eight times fermentation and seven times getting wine (from the material), which will cost a whole year, then four years long-term storage and precious mixing. Particularly, Moutai combines open piled fermentation and closed fermentation together, which helps more microorganism joining into the fermentation, then varied thick aroma formed. And this is a unique style of Moutai.
National liquor- Moutai's highly technical production process is also shown by the organic combination of developed technique and traditional craft. In 1950s' and 1960s' of last century, 14 important operation points on production is achieved through long-term research. Henceforth, more than ten years further investigation and hundreds of experiments realize technical scientific mixing from mixing by feeling. The technique index is set up including management standard and working standard.
Since 90s' of last century, ISO:9000 series international standard was put into use through bringing mass spectrum and chromatogram detector from America and Japan, which helps building state-of-art factory, and the long-term storage and precious mixing are also controlled by computers. At the same time, Moutai passed the ISO:14001 environment management system and the quality, environment, profession healthy safety systems, etc. In 2003, China Kweichou Moutai Distillery Co. Ltd wins the "National Quality Management Prize". All these mentioned above successfully link Moutai to the international routine on production and quality management.
